Quality Night
On three separate occasions during the school year, Innovation Academy invites parents, community and the general public to visit the school for Quality Night. Each middle school student displays one piece of work that they have revised and is considered their highest quality. Guests are asked to review short student presentations of their work and are given the opportunity to provide feedback to students. All students are required to attend Quality Night.

Quality Nights give students the opportunity to share their best work with the public. We believe that this is not only an experience for adults to learn about what we do at Innovation Academy, but an opportunity for students to learn very important public speaking and presentation skills.

As the IACS charter reads, “Anything worth doing, is worth doing well,” the focus of  Quality Night is to prepare and show the finest work students are doing.  If the work is  not quality, it must be revised and approved by the appropriate teacher prior to  Quality Night.  While students and teachers will spend time ensuring that quality work  is completed the first time around, to ensure that quality work is prepared and  presented on Quality Night, the school will set aside a portion of the day, during the  week prior to Quality Night, for the entire school to prepare for the event. Students  should present a piece of work, approved by their Homebase teacher.

Check the calendar on the top of this window for Quality Night dates.
